          Health and Well-Being Support For Your Child

          At Preston Manor School, we understand that the current climate can cause stress and anxiety for students and families.

          Please find below services and guidance that may be able to assist in supporting the wellbeing of our students and their families.

          The Brent Centre for Young People (BCYP) //www.brentcentre.org.uk/

          Students who are currently receiving support from this service will have phone access and whilst the centre remains open, appointments may be scheduled to take place in Kilburn.

          YoungMinds  //youngminds.org.uk/

          YoungMinds offers free confidential online and telephone support to anyone worried about the emotional and mental wellbeing of a child or young person up to the age of 25.

          Call the free parents' helpline on 0808 802 5544 from 9.30am to 4pm, Monday to Friday

          email parents@youngminds.org.uk and YoungMinds will respond to your query within 3 working days.

          MindEd is an online e-portal offering free, simple advice to help adults identify, understand and support children and young people with mental health issues.

          Although it's aimed at professionals, parents and carers may also find the information helpful.

          XenZone is a provider of online mental health services for children, young people and adults. Kooth, from XenZone, is an online counselling and emotional well-being platform for children and young people, accessible through mobile, tablet and desktop and free at the point of use.

          Health wellbeing

          Please do follow Government advice on health and safety protocols.

          No matter what space is available, 20 minutes of exercise in the morning, afternoon and evening will also support the wellbeing of individuals. A walk in the local area or an exercise routine (videos available on YouTube) will help maintain activity levels and break up the day.
